As you already know, Cigna’s Medicare Advantage (MA) HMO plan received the only five out of five star rating in Arizona by CMS and we are the first to hit this top rating in Arizona history! One of the perks in attaining this rating, is the SEP that allows MA beneficiaries to change to a 5 Star Plan throughout the year.

Please see below the SEP code and eligible requirements to enroll:

5 Star SEP:

The 5 Star SEP, (code ”R”), applies to any eligible Medicare beneficiary. This means eligible individuals (live within the service area, meet ESRD requirements) includes those:

• Currently in another MAPD plan
• In an MA only plan
• In a PDP plan
• Have a Med Sup plan
• A Medicare Cost Plan
• Have Traditional Medicare only

Remember, the Special Election Period (SEP) runs from 12/8/2015 – 11/30/2016. We look forward to working with you to continue to aggressively grow your income with Cigna MA products!
